Conditions treated
Patients may be referred to Macquarie Hand Unit for management of conditions affecting the hand and upper limb, including, but not limited to:
- arthritis of the thumb, fingers and wrist
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- finger fractures
- wrist fractures
- scaphoid fractures
- workplace trauma
- tendinitis
- DeQuervain's tendinitis
- tendon injuries
- sports injuries of the hand and wrist
- nerve compression disorders
You will need a referral to see the hand surgeons at Macquarie Hand Surgery, and this may be obtained from your GP.
You will not need a referral to attend Macquarie Hand Therapy unless the condition is covered by Workers Compensation or DVA.
